SF0201 Max Pistols Safe, 3 Gun Box Fingerprints APP

I needed a case to store my handgun but wanted something accessible only to me and near me. I am pregnant, so putting a case up high in the closet was never an option. I also have other people who live in the home with me and occasionally a tiny child that visits - so there was an issue of security. (not against the adults, but I am a firm believer that your handgun should only be accessible to you as you are the one that is responsible for it at the end of the day legally). Also, of course, this one is curious, like all children, so I wanted to make sure I had extra precautions in case they run across the case. It fits right beside and under my bed, and the fingerprint is excellent for ease of access and speed.

Programming codes and fingerprints is a breeze, the instructions are clear and straightforward with little to no room for error, the safe itself seems sturdy and durable with plenty of room to fit guns and mags (2 of which are extended) and a compact pistol with a bit of room to spare. The speed at which the safe pops open upon finger print is quick enough where I'm confident in an emergency situation I'll be able to access my firearm when needed with no hassle. The keypad input obviously takes longer but it still really responsive and the fact we can program multiple sets of prints and codes makes it easy to plan for emergencies.

This gunsafe is absolutely what I expected. I had a lil trouble with setting the fingerprint for my index finger but using my thumb was much easier. I love it and now my home is safe along with keeping my kid safe.

I was looking forward a bedside gun locker for my home defense weapons, since I have two children in the house. I used to keep them in the top of the closet which is too far away in case of immediate needs. I was a skeptical of this case since it was such a great price. But the 5 star reviews gave me the incentive to give it a go. I first opened the box and felt the weight of it. It’s solid folks—more than I expected. I was quite content with the quality of the steel. Next step was to install batteries and set a code/fingerprints. Worked perfectly. I’ve seen some folks had issues with the fingerprint reader. I have to assume, they have never used a fingerprint reader and don’t know how to slightly adjust your finger side-to-side and front-to-back during the programming process. I did ALL of my fingers, since I do a lot of manual work and my fingers get damaged from cuts and abrasions. With the exception of one of my fingers (which I cut the tip off of—cooking accident) this box works perfectly with all of my other fingers. I’ve had it over a week and have tested it many times nightly. I tried my fingers up-side-down and 90 degrees (as if I was laying in bed). The reader has worked 100% of the time. I had the wife and kids try their fingers. No open. I absolutely love this unit—especially for the price. Seriously? The foam is perfectly adequate and on all sides of the safe. I keep my .40/410 Judge revolver and my wife’s SP101 .357 in it (and a large desiccant pack for moisture). I’m a 1st Special Operations veteran with a lot of weapon experience and training. This is the best gun safety purchase I have ever made. 5 thumbs up.

I loved this safe from the get-go, but after last night I love it so much more! I had to get into it in the middle of the night during an emergency. It was pitch black, but the fingerprint feature made it so quick and easy to access my gun. Plus, the interior light was perfect to see my gun but not too bright for the situation. It’s also perfect for everyday use, keeps my gun secure. Worth every penny!!
